Service Description: Supports for people who are pregnant or parenting children aged 6 years and less and impacted by their own or someone else's substance use


Program offers:
  • works to improve health and well-being
  • develop recovery goals to manage substance-use and mental health issues
  • client-centered approach to therapy by supporting each client with unique goals (ex. abstain, help manage/reduce use of substance, harm reduction)
  • trauma-informed assessment, and treatment planning
  • one-on-one counselling (in-person, virtual or phone appointments)
  • groups are run intermittently in collaboration with community partners
  • advocacy, support, case conferencing and referrals
  • harm reduction and relapse prevention planning

Fees: Free
Application: Self or service provider referral * referrals are received and screened centrally through the Owen Sound site
Eligibility / Target Population: People aged 16 years of age or older and
  • are pregnant or parenting children (6 years of age or under) and are impacted by own or someone else’s substance use
  • may be working towards access, or involved with Child Protective Services
  • reside in the Grey Bruce area
  • be willing to participate in the program and engage with the counsellor
