Health care professionals provide either direct health-related services, or work in their support or delivery. Health care professionals work in private practice as well as at health care and other community facilities.

Most health care professions in Ontario are regulated under the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).

Anyone who needs a test can get one and does not need an OHIP card. Tests are made available by appointment only at assessment centres and at pharmacies
