Seasonal and H1N1 Flu Clinics

Every fall, Ontario offers vaccinations to help protect people from the seasonal flu. This year, two vaccines have been developed - one for seasonal flu and one for H1N1 flu.

This tool is intended to provide guidance only and is not intended to provide medical advice about the treatment of an individual.

Before Attending a Vaccination Clinic
For those eligible to receive the vaccine, here are some things to consider when attending a clinic (compiled by the Middlesex-London Health Unit):

  • Bring your health card or driver’s license;
  • Wear a short-sleeved shirt;
  • Don’t skip a meal before attending;
  • Considering attending in the second half of the clinic as clinics tend to be very busy at the beginning;
  • Come dressed for the weather in case the line extends outside;
  • Bring something for kids to play with and eat in case there is a lineup;
  • If the line is long, consider having one adult wait in the line. That person can call the kids or more vulnerable person to come as they are approaching the vaccination area.
