Service Description:

Active treatment, acute care, research and teaching hospital * adult and children's emergency departments * outpatient services * case managers from the South West Community Care Access Centre available on site
Critical Care Trauma Center - 30 bed medical-surgical-trauma unit * cares for patients who require intensive care following multiple trauma or surgical procedures (including vascular, thoracic, gynecology, head and neck and urology surgery), or who need support for complex medical disorders (including respiratory, renal and oncology)
Dentistry Department - general dentistry, paediatric dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery
Bleeding Disorders Program - program for treatment and support of people with bleeding disorders including hemophilia
Impaired Minds Produce Actions Causing Trauma - education program for grade 11 students
Maternal Newborn Care - Birthing Centre and Mother/Baby Care Unit
Nephrology Department - treats renal diseases and operates a kidney transplant program
Palliative Care Unit
Thoracic Surgery Division - treatment for conditions inside the chest (excluding the heart) * procedures can involve the lung, chest wall, thymus, lymph nodes, esophagus, stomach and diaphragm with reasons for treatment including cancer, tumors, trauma, hernias and various diseases
Urology Department - deals with diseases of the male and female urinary tract and the male reproductive organs
