Service Description: 26-bed hospital inpatient program for people who have had a stroke or other neurological conditions * core rehabilitation services include:

  • medicine
  • physiatry
  • nursing
  • occupational therapy
  • physiotherapy
  • speech and language pathology
  • social work
  • therapeutic recreation
  • clinical nutrition
  • clinical pharmacy

Consultative services may include audiology, pastoral care, foot care, optometry, seating clinic, psychology, and wound care

Fees: Covered by OHIP
Application: Medical referral required
Eligibility / Target Population: People with a diagnosis of stroke or other neurological condition, excluding acquired brain injury and spinal cord injury * needs cannot be met with community services * must have potential for functional and/or neurological improvement * must be medically stable and have sufficient endurance to participate in various therapies * must require services of a professional interdisciplinary team * must have achievable rehab goals * must be willing to participate in the program * discharge plan must be in place prior to admission
