Service Description: Surgical services include cystoscopy, endoscopy, operating rooms, pre and post anesthetic care and recovery room (PACU), pre admit clinic (SPCA) and ambulatory clinic (SAC)

Day surgery - Surgical services not involving an overnight stay * day surgeries offered include ear, nose and throat (ENT), obstetrical/gynecology, ophthalmology (eye), orthopedic, plastics, urology and general surgery

Endoscopy - Diagnostic procedures for conditions of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract

Inpatient surgery - Surgical services provided to patients requiring an overnight stay

Surgical pre-admission clinic (SPAC) - Helps patients prepare for an operation and advises what to expect upon their return home * patients should call at least 2 weeks prior to surgery to book an appointment * appointments may take 1 to 3 hours and include tests such as x-rays, blood and urine * located in the East building, level 2

Surgical Ambulatory Clinic (SAC) - patients requiring minor procedures and follow up * includes multiple services
