Service Description:

Home Support Services strive to enhance the quality of life of seniors, people recovering from illness or injury, and people with varying abilities by providing services to assist them in living independently. Call 519-284-3272 to start any of these programs. No referral or membership needed.

Congregate Dining
- We offer 2 dine out at home options a month. We partner with local restaurants to offer dining that gets delivered right to your home at supper time.

Falls Prevention and Group Exercise Classes for Seniors
- Group exercise and falls prevention classes for older adults and people with mobility issues and chronic conditions * aims to improve strength and balance to prevent injury and falls

Fitness Programs
- Fitness and Falls Prevention exercise classes programs for seniors that promote physical wellness by focusing on cardiovascular conditioning, muscle strengthening, balance and flexibility training. In-person class. See www.townofstmarys.com for schedule details. This is a FREE program

Foot Care Clinic
- Basic foot care provided by certified foot care practitioners at the St Marys Friendship Centre * foot care includes evaluation of feet condition, nail care, and treating of basic foot conditions

Home Help Referral Program
- Referrals to local services such as snow removal, lawn care, cleaning, and general maintenance

Meals on Wheels
- Hot and frozen meal delivery * special diet types available *

Shopping Services
- Staff and volunteers are here to help you complete your shopping errands.

Telephone Reassurance
- Weekly/daily phone calls and/or security checks are provided to check on the health and safety of older adults who live alone * checks are done by trained and screened volunteers

Volunteer Visiting
- Friendships and connection with others is vitally important to maintaining our health as we age.

Wellness Programs
- Educational seminars discussing health related education topics such as healthy eating, exercise, chronic disease prevention and overall health and wellness
